GP (General Medicine)
FirstMed's dedicated team of general practitioners provides general and preventive medicine and management of a range of medical conditions for all ages.
What to expect from your general practitioner (GP) Visit
General practitioners are the first doctors to go to if you have a health problem. They treat common medical conditions, perform routine exams, and make specialist referrals where necessary.
Your general practitioner (GP) is your primary and family doctor. Your type of visit will depend on the types of symptoms that you are having. General medicine, above all, focuses on preventive care as well as diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of chronic and acute health conditions.
Appointments last around 20 minutes. During the appointment, your GP will ask you questions about your physical health and answer any concerns you may have about your health. Try to give as much detail as possible regarding how you’re feeling and what your symptoms are. This will help the doctor decide on the best course of action.

Don't forget to make an appointment to see your GP, and prepare by making notes about your specific concerns.
