STD and STI Screening

Doctor and Patient

STD testing at FirstMed is quick, discreet and straightforward.

We have several options for STD screening and we offer three test packages (blood, swab or a combination) or individual tests as necessary.

STD Blood Panel

€130

Some STIs can be detected by a blood test which looks at antibodies and proteins that are produced by the body in response to the virus. The blood package includes genital herpes, chlamydia, HIV, syphilis, hepatitis A, hepatitis B and hepatitis C.

When you're exposed to an STI, it takes time for these antibodies to build. To ensure an accurate result, it is best to wait at least 12 days from the time of exposure before getting tested. Results can take 1-2 working days to be ready.

FirstMed has different tests available to meet your needs. Apart from packages, we also offer single tests as necessary and prices vary depending on the type of test (starting from €25). If you would like to get more information, please contact us.

Chlamydia Antigen

€45

Chlamydia testing is used to screen and diagnose the bacteria that causes chlamydia. This test tells you if you have the chlamydia currently. It uses a sample of body fluid from areas such as the cervix, vagina, rectum, or throat to find chlamydia infection.

With early detection and the right treatment chlamydia can be cured.

Results can take from 2 days up to a week to be ready.

COVID Testing

The Rapid Antigen Test detects the presence of protein particles (antigens) on the SARS-COV2 virus.
